Under-eye Light Filler

Changes that occur in the course of time in the bone structures, where our eyes are located, as well as in the adipose tissues surrounding the eyes, and in the membranes supporting these tissues, may appear as under eye bag and under eye hollow formations.

Treating noticeable under eye bag formations usually requires surgical procedures; however, hollows and dark shades in this area can be successfully treated using special fillers.

Fillers and filling techniques used around the eye, a very sensitive area, differ from ones used in other areas of the face. The procedure can easily be carried out in narrow areas, by means of fillers containing optimal cross links specially developed for this area. Since such fillers can easy be spread in the application site, edema-free and natural healing can be achieved, without causing pressure on the surrounding tissues.

Facial filler injections are usually applied to superficial soft tissues, whereas under-eye light filler is a type of filler applied to deep plans and on the bones. On the other hand, because of rich vascularity in this region, blunt cannula or special injection techniques are used in the procedure.

Under-eye light filler is usually applied to hollows that cause dark shades developing in the areas between the eyes and nose, and between the eyes and cheekbones. The complete effect of this water-retaining filler appears 1 to 2 weeks after application. In the under-eye light filler procedure, usually a single 0,6 to 1 cc injection is adequate; however, additional injections can also be applied under certain conditions.

Application sites of the under-eye light filler:

1. Nasojugal groove,

2. Palpebromalar groove
